This is
the most enchanting resort area in all of Walt Disney World.
Five resorts hug the shoreline of two bodies of water, the
Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake, all accessible by either
monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary, the Polynesian, and the Grand
Floridian
Resorts surround the Seven Seas Lagoon with magical
views of Cinderella’s Castle; all three connect to each other
as well as to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot (via the Ticket and
Transportation Center, or TTC) by monorail.
The Wilderness Lodge and the
Villas at Wilderness Lodge
are not connected by monorail to the Magic Kingdom; however,
they are accessible to the park by boat with the added plus of
a pristine setting smack dab in the middle of a pine forest
fronting beautiful Bay Lake.
Those
driving for the first time to the Magic Kingdom Resorts may
feel confused when the signage seems to be leading straight
into the Magic Kingdom parking lot. You’ll need to drive up to
the second turnstile on the right and advise the parking lot
attendant that you’re checking in and they will wave you past.
Stay to your right and follow the signs to your resort.
